Happy Birthday!

A great big Happy Birthday goes out to our 5 year old. Happy Birthday Mason!

A WOW moment.

We got a letter in the mail the other day from a couple in the ward Justin is serving in. What a letter! I got done reading it & just said "WOW". The gentleman that wrote it wanted to "tell on" Justin. He told us of what a good missionary he is & also what a good person he is. He commented on how polite & honestly concerned Justin is. He said he prays with power, he is humble, and can carry on a good gospel conversation.

I am grateful Justin is serving a mission well. He is a good example & his love of the Lord keeps getting stronger. His testimony is being strengthened daily. Thank you to all of you who support him as well. Either in thought, prayer, letters or financially. We appreciate all that you do.

I have tried to get in touch with Mark, but haven't been successful yet. I didn't leave a message, so he didn't get back with me! So I am putting a birthday greeting here in hopes he will get it. I may catch up to him before he sees it. At least you'll know I am thinking about you. Happy Birthday on Tuesday, Mark! Love you!

What a Week!

OK, so I spent two hours on this blog this afternoon trying to get it updated. It didn't work too well & I was sooooo frustrated. I am starting over in hopes that it's better this time. I am breaking up our week into seperate headings in hopes it's easier. Here goes...

What a week! We have been so busy with all the end of school activities. I am glad school is at an end. Summer will certainly go quick, but it will be a nice break. As mom (Grandma Spencer) told me, I'll be ready when school starts again. I agree. I always am. But for now I am excited for summer.

After Young Women's camp I should have some time to do some things I want to do. I would like to get back into tole painting. I have a list of books I would like to read. I would love to make some all-occasion cards. I have wanted to get memory books started for the kids. My goal is to have Justin's finished by the time he gets home from his mission. Michelle, I may be calling you to borrow your cricut! My house always needs a good cleaning...and the list goes on. I think these will take longer than just one summer, but it's a start. I am looking forward to visiting mom & dad in July and doing nothing, at least almost nothing.

I told Scott I would like a vacation (without the kids) sometime. I have him thinking on that one. We'll see what he comes up with on a very minimal budget. He gets to be creative! I don't expect it will happen this year.

To start it off...

Kadin's school class had a unit on American Indians this month. His teacher sent a note home saying they usually took 6 weeks on it, but they were doing it in 2. Whoa! He chose to do a report on the Pawnee Indians. He made a replica of the Pawnee lodge dwelling. He did a good job on it. He finally got his report done and gave his presentation in class two days before school gets out.
